The Agency is mandated of ensuring availability of adequate and quality procurement services to the Government and Non Government institutions as stipulated in the Public Procurement Act Cap 410. In procurement and sales of stock items oil products (fuel) is among of the services that is provided by the Agency to be used by motor vehicles, motor cycles and plants of different Ministries, Department and Agency. Currently the service is available across all regional offices within Tanzania mainland except for Geita, Simuyu and Njombe which the establishment of infrastructure to cater for the services is underway.

The Agency store for fuel services across the regional offices are open seven days a week from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm including national and public holidays except for Dodoma where the service is provided from 7:30 am to 09: 00 pm.
